Here at Treehouse Kids Ministry, we strive to provide a safe and loving environment for kids as we partner with families to raise children who are Rooted Deep with God, Rooted Deep with others and Reaching Wide into the World. We would love for you to be a part of our team that is "ALL IN" in loving kids and Jesus! Listed below are some of the regular, ongoing ways you can get involved. Leader Role Descriptions
|
Nursery Care
Time Commitment: 1-4 services/month
Our Nursery Care Leaders serve one month on and one month off; every other Sunday; or once a month. The more you serve, the easier it is for the kids to get to know you and to feel safe and connected.
Nursery Care is more than child care or rocking babies. We want the spiritual formation of our kids to begin when they enter our nurseries. Your job is to help kids know that God loves them so much, and He created the world and everything in it!
We have two nursery environments: 0-14 months and 14 months-2 years.
Nursery Supervisor
Time Commitment: 2-4 services/month plus 1 hour per week
In order to help keep our nursery environments clean and ready for our babies we ask our supervisors to help with the details: keep our toys and books sanitized and organized, and our snack cabinets full. Our supervisors lead by example by serving in the nurseries 2-4 times a month.
Preschool 1 Teacher
Time Commitment: 2 services/month plus 1 hour lesson prep
Preschool 1 is the next step in our nursery program. Our Preschool 1 teacher prepares lessons from our GO! curriculum (Chronological walk through the Bible) that are active and engaging. This means teaching kids that God created the earth to show His Majesty but sin entered the world. God’s answer to sin is Jesus!
Preschool 1 Assistant
Time Commitment: 2 Services/month
Preschool 1 is the next step in our nursery program. Your job is to assist the teacher and help kids know that God created the earth to show His Majesty but sin entered the world. God’s answer to sin is Jesus!
Preschool Large Group Leader
Time Commitment: 1 Sunday/month plus 1 hour lesson prep
Your job is to present the week’s lesson from the GO! curriculum in a creative, fun, engaging way. You will teach in ways that include kids in the story and recreate the stories. You will lead worship with the kids. This is a 20 minute obligation one Sunday per month for each service. Let your creative side go! Skits, puppets, songs, and dress-up can be part of your lesson!
Preschool Small Group Leader
Time Commitment: Every Sunday September--May
You can partner with someone to create an every-other-month situation as long as both parties agree to serve the whole year. (Sub provided for weekends you need off)
Your job as a small group leader is to teach the Bible story presented in Large Group, using creative activities that develop relationships with the kids. You are their coach and mentor! Small Group Leaders create communities that disciple kids. Your job is the key to our kids growing into Spiritual Champions! All small group materials and activities are provided.
Elementary Large Group Leader
Time Commitment: 1 service/month plus lesson prep
Your job is to present the week’s lesson from the GO! curriculum in a creative, fun, engaging way. You will teach in ways that include kids in the story and recreate the stories. Its presenting the Bible story in a relevant and fun way so kids are involved in the scripture. You may lead worship some weeks but this is not a mandatory part of the position. This position is a 25-30 minute obligation unless you would like to combine it with being a Small Group Leader.
Elementary Small Group Leader
Time Commitment: Every Sunday September-May
You can partner with someone to create an every-other-month schedule as long as both parties agree to serve the whole year. (Sub provided for weekends you need off)
Your job as a small group leader is to present the Bible story taught in Large Group with creative activities that develop relationships with the kids. You are their coach and mentor! Small Group Leaders create communities that disciple kids. Your job is the key to our kids growing into Spiritual Champions! All small group materials and activities are provided.
Welcome Desk Coordinator
Time Commitment: Every Sunday, every other month
Your job, in conjunction with other Welcome Desk Coordinators, is to oversee a hospitality team of administratively gifted people. Team members will run check-in, check-out and kid placement safely, efficiently and with a warm welcome to each family that attends Treehouse Kids Ministry. You will become familiar with Breeze, our Church Management Software and check-in tool. This also means working with our Safety Team in providing the utmost safe and secure environment for our kids, parents and volunteers.
Welcome Desk Team
Time Commitment: 1-1.5 hours one Sunday a month or as scheduled by Coordinator
Your job is to make sure every family is warmly welcomed to Treehouse Kids Ministry and Findlay E-Free. You will assist guests with check-in, name tags and troubleshooting the process. You will make sure kids and families get to the correct location. You will also help keep our kids, parents and volunteers safe and secure.
Safety Team
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours, 1-2 Sundays/month
Your job is to welcome kids enthusiastically and help generate excitement. While doing so you will scan for security tags, suspicious activity and be available for hallway sweeps, bathroom sweeps and classroom surveillance. Your role is to help provide a safe and secure environment for kids, parents and volunteers. You are also the key to troubleshooting any issues that are cause for concern and will work in conjunction with Church Security team.
Adventure Kids (Wednesday Night)
Time Commitment: Every Wednesday, September through April
Adventure Kids has several leader roles: Preschool Leader and Assistants, Elementary Small Group Leader, Welcome Desk. Our job is to actively engage kids in living out God’s Word daily. We do this through large group teaching, small group devotions and relationship building.
